BHI Senior Living began in 1905 as a faith-based organization dedicated to caring for orphan children. In 1952, our focus evolved to providing high quality residences, a full continuum of healthcare services, and a fulfilling lifestyle for seniors in Indiana.
For more than 50 years, BHI has been dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for the residents of our Indiana senior living communities. Unlike private companies that must show profits to shareholders, we answer only to the people we serve – our residents. We dedicate our resources to improving the continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs) and HUD-subsidized apartment complexes we sponsor.

BHI’s CCRCs offer well-appointed private, maintenance-free residences for active seniors, with many options to suit a range of individual tastes and budgets. Each community includes a wide variety of on-campus amenities and services, including dining and shopping venues,wellness programs, fitness centers, recreational opportunities, club rooms, and scheduled activities.
Our CCRCs also offer the security of an on-site continuum of health care, should the need ever arise. Couples with varying health care needs – as well as individuals whose needs change over time – can access the senior health care services and facilities they need within each community.
Our Affordable Subsidized Apartment Complexes for Seniors

BHI’s HUD-subsidized apartment complexes offer the freedom and privacy of private apartment living with the convenience of many on-site amenities and activities. These affordable apartments are available to persons 62 years of age or older and persons needing a specially designed unit.
