Strong leadership for a secure future

Throughout our long history in Indiana, BHI Senior Living has maintained a robust financial position – despite the ups and downs of the national economy. We have even earned a BBB+ rating from Fitch, the international financial ratings agency.

BHI’s healthy financial profile has enabled us to continually provide the residents of our Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) with a fulfilling, active retirement lifestyle, a full continuum of healthcare, and the promise of long-term stability.

BHI’s financial and operational strength is a direct result of the expertise, dedication, and conservative economic approach of our management team and board of directors. We pride ourselves in our ability and commitment to offer Indiana seniors a truly secure investment in their future.

Nationally Accredited by CARF-CCAC

In 1990, BHI’s existing CCRCs were among the first in Indiana to receive accreditation from the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission (CCAC), which was subsequently acquired by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Hoosier Village, The Towne House, and Four Seasons are now among only eight (8) accredited communities in Indiana.

To earn CARF-CCAC accreditation, organizations must demonstrate that they meet or exceed stringent standards of excellence in critical areas such as governance structure, financial status, and quality of services provided to residents. CARF-CCAC accreditation is an important way to evaluate the many retirement living options available today. It provides the assurance that BHI communities are financially sound, provide a complete range of senior living and heathcare services, and offer a quality lifestyle.

Benevolent Care

Thanks to the generosity of our donors and the strength of the BHI Foundation, Inc., we are proud to offer the security of lifelong care for our residents who eventually deplete their financial resources through no fault of their own. Residents who enter one of BHI’s CCRCs under a continuing care agreement are eligible to apply for our benevolent care program so that they can continue their residency in that community for as long as they choose.

Our Management Team

BHI’s management team has many years of experience in providing quality senior living services, and many have worked at our Indiana senior living communities. As both managers of our CCRCs and local Indiana residents, they are committed to meeting the needs of our residents.
