Enhancing Lives Through Generosity and Care

Since 1986, the BHI Foundation has been a cornerstone of generosity, supporting BHI Senior Living’s mission to enhance the lives of older adults and the dedicated individuals who care for them. Through the unwavering support of donors, the Foundation funds vital community initiatives, resident programs, and essential services, ensuring that BHI communities remain places of comfort, security, and opportunity.

Built on Promise and Compassion

The BHI Foundation is more than a funding source—it’s a promise. A promise to provide lifelong support to residents facing unexpected financial hardship, to champion employee wellness and assistance programs, and to enrich the broader communities we serve. From benevolent care funds that ensure no resident is ever asked to leave due to financial constraints, to educational scholarships, wellness programs, and community outreach, the Foundation strengthens lives while building a culture of compassion and care.

Every Gift Builds a Legacy of Care

Through events and donation-driven projects the BHI Foundation continues to bridge generosity with impact. Every gift, no matter the size, helps preserve the values of dignity, service, and lifelong well-being that define BHI Senior Living.

For those looking to make a difference, the Foundation offers a variety of giving options, including outright gifts, bequests, charitable trusts, and life insurance donations. Every contribution fuels programs that uplift lives and create lasting legacies within our communities.

A Network of Philanthropy

The BHI Foundation proudly oversees philanthropic efforts across Indiana, ensuring resources are directed where they are needed most to enhance the lives of seniors. In Ohio and Michigan, its sister organizations—the Maple Knoll Communities Foundation, the Clark Foundation, and the Westminster Village North Foundation—operate under separate foundation boards, directing their efforts within their respective states.

Together, these foundations form a network of generosity, supporting seniors, caregivers, and community programs across multiple campuses while staying true to their local missions. Through strategic giving, resident support initiatives, and funding for innovative programs, these foundations ensure that older adults receive the highest quality of care, services, and opportunities for enrichment.
